FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions:

1. Product Basics:

Corrugated board is paper based and consists of flute (a wavy layer) between liners (smooth sheets). Corrugated board is durable, light weight, recyclable and biodegradable. There are several grades of flute (we deal with B,C, E and their combinations) and grades of liner (white or brown), as well as several types of carton walls (we deal with single (3 ply) and double (5 ply) wall). Single wall (3 ply) has two smooth layers with one layer of flute in between them (usually B flute, or E for small cartons / boxes, or C for greater strength). Double wall (5 ply), which is stronger, has three smooth layers with two layers of fluting between them (usually B+C flute, or B+E where the outer dimension is critical).

2. Product Types:

Regular Slotted Carton (RSC) is a standard carton / box with B,C or E flute and 4 flaps on the top and 4 flaps at the bottom. RSC has area for printing and can be evenly stacked and transported. This can be made with white or brown top (white top is more expensive).

One Side Flap (Half RSC) has flaps on one side only and is generally used to store goods on racks for easy access.

Top Bottom (Telescopic or Tray Type) is used for small items (like shoes) and flat pack furniture and is supplied in flat form for the user to assemble with tape or staples on the corners.

Corrugated Roll is made of 2 ply paper, is flexible, and used for non-standard packing or protective covering for furniture packing.
